How do I become a host?

Simply click the Become a Host button to create an account. From there, you can list your space, activity, or event and set your availability. Our platform guides you step-by-step.

Is there a fee to list my business?

No. Listing your space, inventory, or service is completely free for Chamber Members.

How does the service fee work?

The Long Beach Chamber's Marketplace (powered by DropDesk Spaces) deducts a 20% fee from the listed package price (after any applicable Stripe fees) on successful bookings.

How do I get paid?

We use Stripe as our secure payment partner.

  1. Setup: You will connect a Stripe Connected Account when you register (U.S. locations are required to fill out a W9).
  2. Timing: Payouts are transferred directly to your bank account on the 15th of the following month (e.g., revenue from January is paid out on February 15th).
  3. Details: All bookings and revenue earnings can be viewed in real-time in your Venue dashboard.
What types of listings are allowed?

If it adds value to the Long Beach Barrier Island, we want it! You can offer event venues, creative workshops, local services, pop-up spaces, fitness classes, and other community-focused experiences.

Do I need special software?

No. You can integrate bookings easily with your current process — no complex changes required. Our dashboard handles inventory and reservations for you.

Do I need permits or insurance?

Depending on your activity or space, local regulations may apply. We recommend checking with the Chamber or City guidelines to ensure you are compliant.

Can I set my own pricing and cancellation policy?

Yes. You control your pricing (hourly, daily, or otherwise) and set your own cancellation rules.

Note: Users always have the right to cancel automatically within 24 hours after booking, provided the date of the reservation is more than 1 day away.
